Data cleared off pdf doc i was editing.

I was taking notes on a PDF doc on Adobe Acrobat. Went to File, Save as, PDF/X, then Adobe displayed an error. There were multiple errors, but once I clicked okay and went back to my notes, all my edits were erased. Is there a way to get my edits back, or are they just gone because Adobe didn't save them?

What kind of edits did you do?

Why are you trying to save it as PDF/X? From Wikipedia:

Active content is not allowed in a PDF/X file. This means that standard PDF features like forms, signatures, comments and embedded sounds and movies are not allowed in PDF/X.
