default print copy number

How can I default my copy number to 1. Somehow mine changed to 38 and I have tried all I can find to fix it. I even deleated adobe and reinstalled and it still defaults to 38. If I print from word or google it does not.

Verify printer defaults

Open your printer's Properties/Preferences from Windows Printer Settings (or macOS System Settings).
Check whether the printer driver has a default copy count configured.

Since Acrobat can read settings from the printer driver, an incorrect value stored there may be reflected in Acrobat's print dialogue.

Try updating or reinstalling the printer driver. Download and install the latest driver directly from the printer manufacturer's website.
Test with a different printer. If available, select Microsoft Print to PDF (Windows) or another printer and check whether the copy count still defaults to 6. This helps determine whether the issue is tied to a specific printer queue or is Acrobat-related.
Reset Acrobat preferences.

Close Acrobat.
Temporarily rename the Acrobat preferences folder.
Relaunch Acrobat.

If the issue still occurs, could you please share the following information:

Your operating system (Windows/macOS and version)?
The printer make and model?
The exact Acrobat version (Help > About Acrobat)?
Does the problem occur with all PDFs or only specific documents?

i am having the same issue, mine is stuck at 6, one time i printed six of something and now everytime it defaults to six. I’ve deleted and installed and i’m the only one in the office with this issue.

Did you ever find a solution? I am having the same issue. I have also checked the advanced printer options and the printer settings profiles and everything is set to 1 copy. In my case, Acrobat will change the default number of copies to 3. No other programs are doing this when I print something.

That’s odd! It is like the default print settings in Adobe might have been changed. Try going to Print > Advanced and check if the copies setting is stuck there shades conroe tx. Also, resetting Adobe’s preferences (by holding Shift + Ctrl while launching) might help.

@karen_1255 wow.... that's insane! Sometimes, printers have their own default settings for the number of copies. Check your printer's properties or preferences (usually accessible through the Print dialog box or the control panel) and see if there's a setting for default copies. Is it possible that an outdated or corrupted printer driver could be causing this issue. Try updating or reinstalling your printer driver.

Also, Acrobat allows you to save custom print settings as presets. Check if there's a preset with 38 copies as the default.
