Deleting pages doesn't remove bookmarks?

I created bookmarks for multiple pages in my pdf. Now I delete one of the page which had bookmark associated with it. What I notice in bookmarks panel is, That bookmark name is still present. Altough clicking on it doesnt do anything but still it is present. Where as if I click other bookmarks, it navigates to the specified page.

Should it not delete the bookmarks too once page is removed?

Is it a bug or Bookmarks are supposed to work in this way?
