Question

Deleting pdf file takes forever - Task Manager shows Acrobat is launching every one!

How do I stop Acrobat from launcing every PDF file I try to delete? If I try to delete more than one file at a time, all hell breaks loose! Looking at the Task Manager it appears that even scrolling through the files in Explorer causes them to be launching. Help!

    Hi Masaypechet,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Deleting of PDFs should not launch the application.

Would you mind sharing the video of the issue occuring at your end?

How exactly you are deleting the files? Share the exact steps you do.

We will be waiting for your response.

    Regards,

Sorry I don't know how to do a video but these are my steps:

Open File Explorer and doubleclick Documents

In the Search box I enter .pdf to see all my PDF files

Then I highlight one and hit the Delete button.

It takes a while before anything happens.

If I highlight more than one file and try Delete, a window opens with a wavy graph that stays there for more than  seconds before doing the delete.

    Thanks,

    Masaypechet
