Question

Denmark Java

Just throwing it out there, I'm using the trial and am COMPLETELY new to all this. I made a form for myself, turned out well, then a friend wanted me to make him a D&D form. He is from Denmark, and there is a translation barrier already. See below. I have a basic idea of what he wants, but I have no idea how to write it in Java. My Java is only a few hours old and mostly consists of, well coffee grounds at the moment. Any help here so I can finish this project and move on before my trial is up. Thanks in advance.

Test Screen Name is correct you should use a paid subscription to get all the editing goodies.

As for your friend in Denmark, he is just  asking is to add all the experience points earned by the role player, which are annotated in boxes 01 through 11. Basically you just have to rename all those hit point fileds like HP1, HP2, HP3... for example.

Then on the XP Value Total field that you circled in red (top of the chart) just add all these fields, right click on the XP Total field, select Properties---->select the "Calculate" tab----> then select "Edit" button where it says "Simplified Notation" ; and add all those fields like this HP1+HP2+HP3+HP4.

That is what I did, but not what he wants. This was our last communication before he went to bed:

“Let me see if I am understanding what you want now. No matter the HP value (a goblin can have 3 HP, or 9HP, doesn't matter, you just want it to count as 1 goblin each. You want to put in the XP value in, so if you put in 25XP and three HP numbers for goblins, it will calculate 3 goblins, no matter their HP, even when it goes down in a fight. Once the goblin dies, it will calculate in the total HP of the counter as 25XP per dead goblin. Is that correct?”

“Yes” Please pardon the D&D talk and I think this is where we are lost in translation.

If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. I just wanted to reach out first and ask before I told him I can't do it. I already labeled the fields, did the math, down to what you said before posting here.

Like I just said, if I can't figure it out, then the project goes out as is, which is a much better situation than he was already in.

I would be more than glad to assist here but what you are asking for is not really related to Adobe Acrobat; however you can find detailed How-to's on how to calculate XP points versus Hit and Die points in the Dungeon Masters guidess (you will never go wrong with those). And if you get yourself an Adobe Acrobat paid subscription it will be very easy to guide you. As a matter of fact there , check this out : https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/buy/students.html?sdid=1XGJD51H&mv=search&ef_id=EAIaIQobChMIi6-XkNr45AIVGYeGCh3kug7mEAAYASAAEgJH_PD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!3085!3!377775804175!b!!g!!adobe%20discount%20student they are offering a 60% discount for students and teachers (I am assuming you are in that age bracket; my glory days for D&D are way over 35 years ago when children had to sit down and read entire D&D encyclopedias and write everything by hand in grid (or quadrille) paper notebooks... LOL!)

It's JavaScript. Java is something completely different. This is important, because if you Google for tutorials for Java, it will leave you worse off than before.

Trials aren't for finishing projects, though. The idea is that you don't manage and subscribe instead.

My intent was not to trial and ditch, nor was it to program Java for a friend. I was using it for myself, as a trial, and he asked if I could help. I agreed, and now I'm stuck. I tried Google, and as you said, am worse off than before, so I deleted the Java.
