Question

Difference between Acrobat Pro 2017 and Acrobat Pro DC - help files same?

My office as Acrobat Pro 2017 (not DC).  Almost all of the info, especially the help files, are for Acrobat DC.  I can't find help files for Acrobat Pro 2017 and it took me alot of searching to find this link that shows that there is even actually such a product.

Adobe Support Policies: Supported Product Versions

This post helped me figure out that Acrobat DC is subscription based while Acrobat Pro 2017 is desktop software.

Compare Acrobat Standard 2017 vs Pro, *not* DC

However most of the rest of Adobe's website ignores Acrobat Pro 2017 completely.

So my question is this - do the help files and other information available on Adobe's website for Acrobat DC apply equally to Acrobat Pro 2017?  If not, where are the help files specific to Acrobat Pro 2017?

Thanks

Yes, the help files on Adobe's site do apply to both – or either – Acrobat DC and Acrobat 2017, depending... Most of the user guide pages on Adobe's site are for Acrobat DC, but a subset will also apply to Acrobat 2017.

You can tell which is which by looking near the bottom of the sidebar on the right side of the help page. You'll see "Applies to:" there, with the specific products listed. For example, this intro page "Applies to: Acrobat 2017, Acrobat DC." And oftentimes you'll see one, but not the other.

More generally speaking, this overview should further highlight and define the distinctions between the two editions:

Hope that helps!
