Question

Different PDF depending on how I open same file

Typically I create new invoices by duplicating a previous one, and renaming the copy. Thereafter I edit it and save a copy in a cloud. However if I go into the cloud file and open the pdf, it opens in Adobe Acrobat however it displays as the original invoice created months ago. Whereas if I open the same file through the Acrobat app it displays the new invoice. Can someone please tell me what I must do to ensure the new file is displayed irrespective of how I open it. TIA

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. I can understand how confusing that can be.

It looks like the cloud version of your file is showing you an older cached copy when you open it through your browser or directly from cloud storage, while the Acrobat app is showing the most recently saved version.

1. Make sure the file is fully saved before closing it: After editing the invoice, double-check that the changes have been saved properly before you close it.

2. Manually sync if needed: Check whether the file is uploading/syncing properly. Sometimes the sync doesn't happen right away, and you end up opening an older version.

3. Clear the cache or try a different browser: If you’re opening the file in a browser and still seeing the old version, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. You can also try accessing it from a different browser or device to see if that shows the updated version.

Let us know how it goes.
