Different quality when Save as Adobe PDF in PowerPoint on Windows

Question

I don't get the same result when saving from PowerPoint on Windows 10 as my coworker.

I get a 5 580 kb pdf with great image quality

He get a 1761 kb pdf with less image quality

We have checked that we use exactly the same settings in Powerpoint, we both use "standard" profile, we both have Print High quality checked etc. The only thing I se that is different is in the document properties in Acrobat. I have "Application: PDFMaker 21 for Powerpoint" and he has "Application: PDFMaker 11 for Powerpoint".

Any ideas how to help him get the same result?

That version information points to a different version of Acrobat that is used to generate the PDF file. Upgrade Acrobat and see if that fixes the problem.
