Digital Signature issues

We have a re-occuring issue with a number of users.  When attempting to digitally sign a PDF, the file will save but the signature is not there.  After several attempts the file will save with  the signature in place.   We have exhausted our internal knowledge on this and seeing if anyone has seen this and have managed to resolve this.

Please let us know if you are using the Acrobat or the Acrobat Sign application to add the digital signature to the document. Are the signatures saved on the machine? We will need more information to determine what might be causing this behavior. Please share the exact steps the users used to sign the document.

These are the steps that are being taken. 

  • An excel form template is downloaded and the fields filed in. 
  • The form is then converted to PDF via print to adobe, or exported or saved as PDF. 
  • Users then go via Acrobat and then use the Digital signature option within Acorbat.  These signatures are created through the certificate option within Acrobat. 
  • It is at this point, when the user applies the digital signature is when the issue occurs.
