Digital signature without Acrobat

Hi

I can't seem to find an answer to this..

I have Acrobat so I have no problem creating a digital signature, but it looks like if you only have Adobe Reader you can't add a digital signature. Is this right?

I don't want to add a scanned image, I want to be able to do it by the person clicking in the signature box and their digital ID populates.

Thanks

Hi

Sorry I meant we are on version 11. so how do you do it if the person views the PDF in Reader version eleven?

Also, isn't Acrobat Reader DC something different which would have to be subscribed/paid to?

In Adobe Reader XI you can use the signature field or use Fill & Sign > Place Signature.

Info: Acrobat Reader DC is free.

Acrobat Reader can add digital signatures.

Do you know how to make this happen?

I created a PDF (with Acrobat XI Pro) with a signature box. However, when someone who only has Reader (VII), opens the PDF when they click in the signature box nothing happens.

Thanks

Version 7 of Reader is old and unsupported. Use Acrobat Reader DC.
