Question

Digital signatures not showing

Using windows 10, I created a form with digital signature blocks.  Saved it as reader-enabled for those who only have reader to sign document.  The reviewer signs (using reader and on a Mac) and returns it to me.  However, when I receive the file, their digital signature does not show.  We have been doing this method for the past 2 years and just lately, we are unable to see his digital signature.  Did something in the settings/preferences change that we need to uncheck?  Please advise.

My clients are having issues with the signature blocks.  The digital signatures are not showing in the signature block.  Sometimes they are on the bottom of the last page.   What causes this to happen?

3 years later, having the same problem. My Adobe is up to date. I've tried every suggstion I can find on the internet and Youtube (Adobe's site and "FAQs" are a joke).

How do you get access to the tool to add an esignature block for other to sign on PDFs you have created?

Go to Tools - Prepare Form - Add New Field and select Signature.

I'm having a version of this problem too. I just upgraded from Acrobat 10 to Acrobat DC. One of my clients has traditionally signed documents electronically using DocuSign's interface, which generates an electronic signature. He typically has sent the electronically signed document back to the partner - even if he's the first of 2 signers. From what I'm reading, a second electronic signature breaks the first one (unless they're mediated through the same signatory process, like DocuSign). The broken signature was visible in Acrobat 10, but isn't visible in DC. Is that a feature or a bug?

Hello Davidm,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. Make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat installed, check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates.

Is it specific to one PDF or with all the PDF files? Is user is using Adobe Certificate based signature or Fill and Sign to sign the PDF files?

Is user is signing the PDFs using Adobe Sign Feature?

What is the dot version of Adobe Acrobat installed? To identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Is it a Mac or Windows machine?

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Hello AnandSri,

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, version 2018.011.20040. "Check for updates" advises that my installation is up to date. Installed on a MacBook Pro running macOS High Sierra, version 10.13.5.

As I said in my initial post, my client is using DocuSign. I don't know what their underlying technology is. If he sends me a signed copy, I cannot see the signature in Acrobat -- even when Adobe displays the "Signed and all signatures are valid" banner.

The signature does not print on my computer, either. It clearly prints from the same document on other computers, because I've seen follow-up versions in which the document clearly has been printed, signed, and re-scanned.

Regards,

David

I am having the same problem - two of the five signatures have "disappeared". Could you take a look at my file? I need to get this resolved as soon as possible.
