Disable Audible beep when Saving Adobe PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro

It is very annyoying to hear a beep in Adobe Acrobat Pro when I save a PDF, when I optimize a PDF, when I reduce the size of a PDF. It doesn't happen when I just click on the save button. It also  happens when I save open a PDF I've reduced in size via ILove PDF. I usually open the compressed file, and save it, or try to save it further as a reduced file, eventually saving back to the original file, and then I delete the compressed file from ILove PDF. Please advise.

Dear Bernard,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I turned on my ASUS Laptop which is running Windows 10, and which has the older Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 installed on it, and checked my settings there. I never hear a beep when saving files, or reducing file size and saving. I then went to Windows Sound Settings on the ASUS Laptop and saw that the "Exclamation" sound was set to "None." I went back to my ASUS Desktop PC, which has Windows 11 running, and changed the Sound Setting for "Exclamation" to None. Adobe Acrobat Pro 2025 is now silent when I save a file, or reduce a file in size and save.  I generally don't save files to the Cloud. I do use Dropbox on occasion.  My ASUS Desktop PC has two separate drives - one for Windows 11 and software installations, and a drive for Documents, Photos, Videos.  Thanks again for your help!!!

I also did what you suggested in your e-mail. Thanks again for being sohelp

Hello!

I understand how frustrating that can be, Miriam! To stop the beep sound in Adobe Acrobat Pro when saving or optimizing PDFs, try disabling notifications by going to Edit > Preferences > General and unchecking the option "Show online storage when saving files". Additionally, check your sound settings in the Control Panel and set the "Windows Logon" sound to "None". If the issue persists, consider repairing the installation by going to Help > Repair Installation.
