Disabling popups when highlighting in Acrobat Pro DC

Since the new release of Acrobat Pro DC, I am automatically getting a pop-up comment field every time I highlight text while reviewing a document. This pop-up behavior is new and just creates extra work to close it, if not used. I have tried checking and unchecking various options under EDIT / PREFERENCES / COMMENTING, but have not been able to stop the automatic pop-ups from appearing.  I would appreciate instructions on how to disable these popups.

Thanks for the help

Hi Mltheart,

We apologize for the delay in sharing update.

The comment pop-up has been introduced with the latest update to the Adobe Reader/Acrobat. This is a design behavior of the application and currently we do not have option to disable it manually.

We request you to please use this form to request new features or suggest modifications to existing features: Feature Request/Bug Report Form

Could you please either give more details, or provide a screenshot of this scenario?  Does this unwanted pop-up appear on the document face (in the view panel) or in the Comment panel on the right?  It is normal for the latter to occur, and one has the option as to whether to provide a note/description or not.  When I use the highlighter tool, I do not get a pop-up in the view panel - just in the Comment panel.

My best,

Dave
