Distorted Text in Text Field when Printing to 'Save as PDF'

Question

Documents sent through Adobe eSign are printed to "Save as PDF" and the text appears jarbled. See below:

If I print to Adobe Printer the text appears fine, but is flattened and I cannot highlight specific text.

There are other form fields in the same document that are not set as "Multi Line" that appear fine no matter how the PDF is saved/printed. It's just this larger multi line text field.
I'm grateful for any information on this.

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

Save as PDF is a feature provided by the printer, and we cannot guarantee the results.

If Adobe Printer works fine, you can open the flattened PDF, go to Edit PDF, and run OCR on the document.

This should make the document text searchable and selectable.
