Document comes up with symbols instead of the words.

When I try to print a document from a program called appfolio it opens my acrobat DC but  the document comes up with symbols instead of the english words like it should. It was working just fine then all of the sudden it started doing these weird symbols and I have no idea how to fix it.

Were there any recent updates to the prolgrams?

Have you tried to perint the PDF as an image?

Yes I did recently update it. after the update It was working fine for the first day then the second it started doing this.

I did try that and it still prints out in the symbols.
