Document search (Cntl + F) not working in version 2023.008.20555

The find feature is not working in this release.  I use this functionality every day and, without it, I can't do anything other then manually search the document - which is a non-starter.  Looks like I have the most recent version installed but looks like this has been an issue in other, previous releases.  I have tried those previous solutions with no luck.  Please advise on a fix.

    Does this happen with all files, or just some?

    Are you able to select the text you're looking for with the mouse? If so, what happens when you copy it to another application, like Notepad or Word? Does it paste correctly there?

    Adobe will not allow me to select the text at all.

    That usually indicates it's not real text, but an image. You didn't answer my other question, though... But if you could share that file with us we could give you a more definite answer on whether the problem is with the file or the application.
