Docusign Question

I am having issues obtaining more signatures when a document has already been signed by 'Docusign' software. I read online that you can add a signature field and you should be able to get another signature but when I try this, it tells me "This document has been signed and can not be edited."

Is there a way around this? I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2020.009.20067

A DocuSign signed PDF document is like an AdobeSign signed PDF document: you cannot edit it.

The only workaround I've found so far is to print and scan the already signed Docusign document, then open in Acrobat and add new signatures. I feel as modern as a fax machine...

You can add signatures within Docusign to an already signed Docusign document, so there should be a way to do this in Adobe Acrobat unless Adobe cannot add to an already signed Docusign document, which makes Acrobat completely useless for quite many signature scenarios. Hopefully, they'll figure this out soon and fix this problem.
