Does the big blue Share button work for Reviewers running older versions of Acrobat?

I need to set up a shared review, and I need my clients to be able to make their comments in the desktop version of Acrobat, since the online version is so limited in tis commenting tools. So I'm wondering if when I invite someone to a review, if shared commenting will still work even if they don't have the latest version of Acrobat. My clients are running Acrobat 8 - Acrobat X.

If it won't work, can anyone share a good resource for setting up the old-school method of shared commenting via a WebDav site?

Hello,

The reason they need to use Acrobat (as opposed to the browser) is because the document is over 400 pages long. The hyperlinks do not work in the web browser, the bookmarks are not available, and not all the commenting tools exist in the web browser. They shouldn't have to scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll... in order to navigate through the document.

Also, the comments are not sortable, only filterable.

I'm going to look into using a Shared Review using a webDav server.

Hi DocumentGeek,

When you send the PDF for review using the Share button, they can easily provide their feedback in a browser without having to sign in or install any additional software.

They do not need to use the Acrobat application in order to add comments to the shared document for review.

They need to simply click on the link and it will open the PDF in the browser.

If you still need to share the document via a WebDAV site, please refer to the steps provided in this help document Starting a PDF review, Adobe Acrobat

Hope that answers your query.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Meenakshi
