Question

Double-sided printing is not even offered as an option in the print window.

Ever since I installed Acrobat Reader Pro DC, I am not able to print double-sided. When I select print, a dialog window opens which used to allow me to select Double-sided Printing. That is not even an option in this program. I even opened the Properties of a document and selected duples printing, but it still did not allow it as an option. Might I add that I am now PAYING quite a bit of money for this program because I thought it would offer more options that the free Reader program, but I guess Adobe fooled me. I have searched many times on Google and YouTube and can find no way to enable it -- and the big question is: why should I have to enable it??? I don't have this problem with any Microsoft programs. Maybe I should just say to hell with PDF and Adobe and print everything as a Word document. Also, why does Adobe not offer actual online support or live chat? I get this feature with other software, even ones that I am not paying for. Adobe doesn't even have the decency to offer a phone number so you can actually talk to a person. Very disappointed.

Hi Jim

Hope  you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Acorbat reader DC you are using? To check the version go to help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only) go to Edit > Prefrences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at startup' Turn off the protected mode and uncheck enhanced security > Click OK and reboot the computer once.

Note: Please turn in the security after testing to avoid any security risk.

Important: Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat let you print double-sided if your printer supports that feature. The printer driver controls the options, not Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Check your printer documentation to see what features your printer supports. For more info please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-double-sided-acrobat-reader.html
