Double-sided printing issue option

Hello everyone!

 

I'm having problems with double-sided printing, but here's the catch. Adobe actually gives me the double-sided printing option and I purchased a color duplex printer for this purpose. It doesn't want to print double-sided. Here's why I know the problem has something to do with Adobe and not my printer.

 

I combined two pdf files into one using Adobe's online file merger, and when I did that, it saved the pdf into my document cloud. When I print double-sided from my document cloud, it print the exact same two pages on one piece of paper. Bam no problem. It just takes 5 minutes for it to print because it's being sent from the cloud to my printer.

 

Anyone have any ideas? It seems like it would be a really simple fix, but I'm completely dumbstruck on where to go from here. I tried changing the setting to flipping the page the long way, letting the pdf determin page source option, etc. Can't get it to print using Adobe Reader. I posted screenshots to help show what visiblity I have. I've read other people's double-sided printing issues but most of them either don't have the option to print double-sided and need to turn the setting on or don't have a duplex-compatible printer. I am in neither of these camps and can't find anyone having the same issue on the web, so any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

Hope you are doing well and am sorry for the trouble and the delay in response.

 

I hope you would be able to fix it by now. If the issue still exists, would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat Pro DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20169 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

Please check for any missing/pending updates for the printer driver and firmware and try updating it and see if that works.
