double sided printing probelem ONLY with Acrobat

Mac OS 10.11, HP All In One 8600 Pro Plus. Using Acrobat DC, if there are an odd number of pages, then Page 1 prints as a single page and pages 2 and 3 print double sided. It seems Acrobat forces the print to be in reverse order so the printer thinks Page 1 is the LAST page not the FIRST page. Prints double sided fine and in order with WORD.
