Acrobat 25.1

Mac OS 26.3.1 (a)

Just discovered droplets and they sound great, but every time I make one I get the same error. “Droplet is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.”

I’ve gone into Security and Privacy and allowed the app to open by entering my admin password, but then the very next time I try and use it, I get the same error message all over again. Is this a recurring problem or is there a setting I have wrong somewhere?

After you get this message, open up our macOS system preferences and go to Privacy & Security - then scroll down until you see the following under security:

When you now click on “Open Anyway” and confirm again and enter your admin password, the droplet should work.

I’d start by checking any apps or software that were installed around the time the problem first appeared. Reviewing their permissions and the Mac’s security settings could point to what is causing the issue. After making any changes, a quick restart is also worth trying.

You can try checking the macOS Privacy & Security settings again and make sure the application has the required permissions. If the same message appears after selecting “Open Anyway,” restarting the Mac and testing the droplet again may help. This can be useful when handling files for streaming or other media-related workflows.

I have also just discovered the Droplets and have encountered this error issue, but my error looks different and this “open anyway” section of my privacy settings is not present when i dismiss the error. Do you have any solutions for this scenario?
