Duplex printing

Hi everyone.  I've run into an issue printing PDF files using duplex (2-sided) printing.  This started to happen in the last month, and did not occur with earlier versions of Acrobat.

I have a document that is 1.5 (one and a half) pages long.  The first page prints normally on the front side of the paper.  However, the second page prints on the LOWER half of the back side of paper instead of on the top half.  The document displays correctly on-screen.  This problem does not occur with single-sided printing.  This problem does not occur when printing from the applications that created the original document (ie Word or Excel).

I am printing on na HP LaserJet Pro printer using PCL6.

Hi @TigerNYC

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.03.20269 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once. Also, check for any missing/pending updates for the printer driver and firmware and try updating it. Please go through the help page

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html and see if that works

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

If it still doesn't work, please collect the print logs https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/collect-print-logs-for-acrobat.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

Regards
Amal
