Question

E-Sign / Acrobat Pro Desktop crashes every time I try to add a signature field.

I use Adobe Pro desktop version.  When I go into E-Sign and add a signature field to the document, the software freezes for a few seconds, then crashes and closes automatically.  I get a pop-up error report that says “Sorry, an error has occurred. Adobe Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to close.”
And I send an error report to Adobe (which I have done, repeatedly).

Here is what I have tried so far, that didn’t resolve the problem:

I restarted my computer.

I tried using E-Sign on different documents - every one of them crashed.

I uninstalled and re-installed the Adobe Pro desktop software from the Adobe website.

I turned off my firewall, anti-virus and similar protection.

I unchecked the box under Preferences>Signatures>Creation that says “use modern user interface for signing...”

I unchecked the box under Preferences>Security (Enhanced) that says “enable protected mode at start-up”

I cleared my browser cache.

I signed out and back into my Adobe account.

Please advise how to fix this!

Thanks, but I don’t see any solution to Adobe Pro / Esign crashing every time with an error upon use.

I was hopeful. Sorry it didn’t help.
