E-signature not working

Hi community,

Up until yesterday I had no issues using Adobe Acrobat for e-signing, however, now when I open any PDF that has been through LEAP (legal software program) I recieve either an "unsupported file" or "protected file" message, or it prompts me to upload another PDF for e-signing, and I am unable to request signatures on the open PDF.

Has anybody else experienced this issue? Please let me know how you have fixed it.

Hi @alyssa_3376,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with using E-sign on Acrobat.

Do you see this issue only with files that have gone through LEAP or with all? Can you please test and let us know?

Also, please try the steps below:

Go to Menu > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at Startup (Preview) > Restart Acrobat.

Once done, try the workflow again.

If it doesn't work, please share a few pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The app version of Acrobat you use;

2. The OS [Windows/Mac] and its version;

3. A screenshot of the error you see;

4. A sample file (if possible) for us to test in-house.

Please ensure you are on the latest version of Acrobat (25.1.20643) for the best experience.

Also, it would be a good idea to keep the LEAP support team informed about the issue you see in case they are aware of something that has changed from their side.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Souvik.
