Edit > Copy File to Clipboard only works for single page PDFs

Hi,

I am trying to import and consolidate slides from Acrobat Reader DC but the Edit > Copy File to Clipboard (and then pasting into MS Word) application does work for multi-page PDFs and works only for single page PDFs. 

I do not want an image as that is of lower quality. 

Can anyone provide some helpful advice?
