Edit PDFs in Acrobat X Standard

I have a customer that has Acrobat X Standard installed on terminal servers.  I had to uninstall/reinstall Standard on the terminal servers after getting ICC Profile popup in another application.  The reinstalls look to be activated.  Now, they are reporting they can't edit scanned in documents to PDF.  They said they could edit scanned in documents that are now saved as PDFs.  I can't find on Adobe's website that says Acrobat X Standard can edit PDFs.  That's my question too.  Can Adobe Acrobat X Standard edit text within scanned into PDF documents?

Hi Clareyp,

Link for Acrobat Standard 10 is How to edit a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat X Standard (Edit PDF)

In a scanned document, you cannot edit the text - it's a picture of the text. The fact that you can select the text means that you've run OCR on the document.

Hope this helps.

Anand,

Thanks for the information.  However, the question though still stands.  Can it be done in Acrobat X Standard?  The link you provided is for Adobe Acrobat Pro.
