Edit text in PDF drawing

I am trying to edit text on an electrical schematic that I only have the PDF file of (it was originally made in AutoCAD).  It's a very clear drawing but when I try and run OCR the file gets much more blurry and hard to read.  When I print after running OCR it's illegible.  I am using Adobe Acrobat X Standard.  Any suggestions?

Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you are getting a blurry PDF file while running OCR using Acrobat Standard 10, Is that correct?

Please check for pending updates of Acrobat from Help>Check for updates, Reboot the machine after the installation of updates.

You can also repair the installation files of Acrobat from Help>Repair installation(Only for Windows). Reboot the machine after the repair and see if this brings any difference.

Note: Acrobat Standard 10 is already declared as End of support product, so above suggestions may or may not work. End of support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support, including product and/or security updates, for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).
