Edit/Tools Buttons Do Nothing Acrobat Pro Web

Hi,

Multiple users in my office are unable to use the ‘Edit’ or ‘Tools’ button in Acrobat Pro web version. We are unable to edit text font sizes, organize pages, or do much of anything aside from adding text to the PDFs.

For additional background, I’ve tried editing the same PDFs I’ve edited in the past with no success whatsoever. This isn’t a password protected or locked PDF that I’m trying to edit.

    Hello @FrostyVendetta

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

In addition to what our community product expert has already shared, please try these suggestions:

    • Confirm the license under account.adobe.com for the users.

    • Sign out/in of Acrobat Web

    • Test in Chrome Incognito, or private mode of any other browser

    • Try the same file in Desktop Acrobat Pro

    • Connect to a different network type

    Also, please note that

    Acrobat on the web supports:

    • Adding and editing basic text
    • Adding comments and annotations
    • Organize Pages actions (reorder, rotate, delete) when supported for the file and plan
    • See this article for more information: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/web.html

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.

Are they unable to edit any PDFs or just specific ones?  Is the edit button greyed out? or just doesn’t respond when pressed?

Are you sure they are properly logged in and have the appropriate subscription?
