Hi all, I have Adobe acrobat reader dc installed on my laptop. I can originally edit a doc but when I save it I can no longer go back and edit it! Help!

Hi Laura,

 

The "Reader" version of Acrobat does not provide the ability to Edit the text in a PDF. What you can do is fill out a form and do a "Save as..." of that form. However, when a form has been completed, it's typically locked and no more signing (or altering of a signing) can be done. It's a legal thing to prevent illegal things from happening.

 

Could this be what happened?

What exactly you happens when you try to edit it a second time? Did you sign it at all?

Yes I’m signed in - it just pings at me and won’t let me do a thing!

Hi Laura,

 

Please look at my previous comment: if you have Acrobat Reader (as opposed to Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro), you cannot do editing of a PDF.
