When this one user i have edits a pdf to change specific fields on a document it screws up all of the text boxes.

Tested on a different profile on the same computer.

Does the same in edge adobe app too.

Opening on a different user’s computer and it looks fine.

Like it isnt detecting the text boxes correctly on hers for some reason, but i cant seem to figure out what might be different between the two machines.. even though it should be identical.

    It seems:
This PDF was not exported from its source application. It was printed to PostScript using Windows' built-in PScript5.dll driver, then run through Acrobat Distiller. PScript5.dll is known to produce Type 3 fonts with proprietary glyph encodings and no ToUnicode entries. Distiller faithfully reproduced what it was given — including the broken encoding. This is the origin of the problem.

The other user has used the wrong workflow. Let me know if you have further question.

    Hi @timctxi,

Thanks for reaching out. I looked into the attached document, and it appears to be a screenshot of the document.
This doesn't help much, however, judging from the screenshot, it seems the file is a static PDF file and isn't a PDF form. To edit a form, use the Prepare form tool, not Edit PDF.

If you could share more details about the file and the file itself, we may be better positioned to guide you further.
Feel free to reach out if you have further questions.

Oh that is a pdf i made from the pdf itself. I can upload that one and then upload the one i have from another users computer, received in the same way, that is correct. I tested it on my machine and the one from the one person’s computer is like that, but when i open the one from the person who has the correct layout it is still correct.. so i am wondering if there is something messed up on her computer to screw it up somehow.

Hrm.. I am trying to upload the one that is not displaying correctly.. and it says its not a supported file type.. but file extension says pdf, and it opens in adobe..I see nothing that might be causing that problem.

So i wonder if they are getting corrupted somehow on her machine..

Hi @timctxi  - the file looks normal and i can see this is not a form.
It is likely possible the other person may not be using Acrobat to edit the file, and that is likely a cause of the issue.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
