Emailing File from Within Acrobat DC Pro

I am having issues with sending a file from within Acrobat DC Pro.  As of yesterday all I had to do was click on the envelope icon and it would launch Microsoft Outlook and automatically attache the pdf.  Now  when I click on the envelope the side tool bar opens but it is blank and it does not launch MS Outlook.  The envelope icon is now grayed out and cannot be clicking on.  Aldo under the tools the send to is also grayed out.  This all started happening today when i tried to attache a file to an email.

The only think i noticed was that the word new was above the send to icon on the tools.

Thanks for any help.

Rob

Something is clearly wrong, but you may be able to make it go away using the fix described here How to use the email icon to directly send file as attachment

Same here.  I've had 3 users just this morning to call and say now they have to do extra clicks to email a file.  Why was this changed?  Give us a one-click email option that was there before, or make it an option as someone else said.

I thought that I was the only one going crazy... this is a big issue to me, especially from a productivity standpoint. Is there a way to fall back to the previous rev????

Hi Rob,

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Could you kindly press "Esc" and then click on the envelope icon again and see if the RHP loads fine.

In case the above doesn't help, please quit and relaunch Acrobat and repeat the workflow you did. This should resolve the issue.

Please note that there has been an update in the behavior of the attach to email workflow which redirects you to the new Unified Share app.

The new unified Share experience empowers you to easily collaborate on documents across desktop, mobile, and web. Share a link to a PDF to view or comment on it. Or send it as an attachment.

For detailed information about the new features, you may refer to Adobe article What's new in Adobe Acrobat DC.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Pallavi.

This has to STOP!!!

Stop releasing major versions with features that don't add anything to the work flow!!! On the contrary...

Before with only one click the pdf was exported to the email client!!! Now it takes two more steps to do the same thing!!!!

At least make this as an option!!! I want to have the possibility to send email like before!!!
