Embedding fonts while converting MS Word to Acrobat PDF on Mac OS Big Sur NOT WORKING for me

I have the latest updates for both Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.  Whether I use the "ribbon" in MS Word, or I use the "Create PDF" in Acrobat to import and create, the fonts don't come along with any document.

I have chosen the setting found on the word menu found at  Word/preferences/Save to "embed fonts."  This doesn't have the desired effect, even after closing and reopening MS Word.

What am I missing?

Try Word's built in PDF option. Under  Save As, select PDF from the format list, and click Options to set best for printing and see if that makes a difference.

Otherwise, if fonts aren't embedding, it may be a font that doesn't allow it?

fyi: the setting "Word/preferences/Save to "embed fonts" relates to embedding fonts within your Word document; It has nothing to do with PDF export.
