endless requests to sign in

For the past 24 hours, Acrobat is requiring a sign-in, and after credentials are entered, it requests again, in an endless loop. I've followed all the help screens, including checking that Microsoft Credential Manager is running, adding an exception to antivirus for Creative Cloud. I'm stuck! (I've been a user for years and seen occasional requests for a sign in; this came on suddenly.)

Thanks, I was finally able to reach a chat agent who led me through basically this same process, except that I also had to delete and re-install the program to completely resolve it.

@larrycfc A common solution is to clear out any corrupted credentials stored in Windows or Microsoft Credential Manager related to Adobe. To do this, search for "Credential Manager" in your Windows search bar, open it, and then under "Windows Credentials," look for and remove any entries that appear to be related to Adobe or your Adobe account.

I would also clear your history, cache and cookies in your web browsers as well. Sometimes, corrupted or outdated temporary files and website data stored by your browser can interfere with authentication processes, especially when a program relies on web-based components for sign-in. By clearing these, you're essentially giving your browser a "fresh start" and eliminating any potentially problematic data that might be causing the endless sign-in loop. After clearing these, it's recommended to restart your computer and then try signing in to Acrobat again. This can help reset the authentication process and break the loop.
