Hey!

A small window pops up with the following message which is - Unable to create the temporary folder. Error: 183 - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

Can someone help me get rid of this error?

Hi @Surendra Bedsa,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat.

Were you working with any file directly using the "Open" feature in your web browser's download section?

From the error message, it seems that the file you were working with was saved in your device's temp folder, and when you tried to access it on the next launch, you received an error.

Let us know the workflow you are following for a better understanding. Possibly a screen recording of the event would be great.

Also, please update the app to the latest version (2025.001.2047x) for the best experience.

More info on the update available here: https://adobe.ly/3YQGXwi.

If updating does not fix the issue for you, please help us gather logs from your machine: https://adobe.ly/4l1gBRA. Please make sure Procmon is selected. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Souvik.

Is this in Acrobat? If so, what version of Acrobat, and on what OS?
And when does it appear, exactly?

Yes, this error is associated with Adobe Acrobat Distiller or Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe Acrobat Pro version - 2024.005.20421 (64-bit)

OS - Windows 10.

It appears after I clean temp files, %temp% files, prefetch files, disk clean up "C" Drive, and deleting Google Chrome browsing history.
