Hello All,

I keep receving the following error when trying to open up PDF Files:

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

"Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stoppped working

A problem caused the progra to stop working correctly. Please close the program"

--> Close the program

Once the window is closed, the pdf opens up. This occurs nearly every time and becomes a nuisance when having to open multiple pdf files. I have completely removed and reinstalled to no avail.

File Version 20.012.20043.3217

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble and the delay in response. I hope you would be able to fix it by now. If  the issue still persists, please update the application to the latest version 20.12.20048. From the help menu > check for updates and see if that works for you.

If it still doesn't work, do you have the Preview Pane enabled in File Explorer? If so, can you disable it temporarily to see if the problem goes away? On Windows go to file Explorer go to the View tab, and if the "Preview Pane" button is pressed, If yes, un-press it and check if that helps.

You may also refer to the correct answer marked in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/adobe-reader-has-stopped-working/td-p/7167244?page=1

Let us know how it goes
