Error importing image. Unsupported image format.

The attached file gives Error importing image. Unsupported image format. when putting it into an image field in Acrobat Reader. When using Detect a File Type -- Free Online Tool (eakondratiev.github.io), it gives the description : A binary file, type not detected. any idea of why it is not inserting?
