Error Installing Adobe Acrobat X Pro on macOS Mojave 10.14.6

Question

Please help!

I was reinstalling Adobe Suite CS6 (yes I know it’s old!). All programs (indesign, illustrator, photoshop etc.) installed fine. However, Acrobat kept giving an error:

ERROR: DW003: Third party payload installer /Volumes/CS6 DesWebPrm/Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium/payloads/AcrobatXProfessional10.0-mul/AcrobatUpd1011.pkg failed with exit code: 0

I am installing on macOS Mojave 10.14.6. This is not a new setup. CS6 has been installed on the OS before.

I have reached out directly to adobe with no help. Any ideas?

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the error DW003.

Adobe Acrobat X is an old application. You may refer to a similar discussion here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/error-dw003-third-party-payload-installer-adobe-acrobat-setup-exe-failed-with-exit-code-1603/td-p/8680371 and see if that works.
