I can save an edited PDF file with Adobe Acrobat DC my trial version. And I was going to buy the full professional version.

Not yet.

Why can I not save the edited text in my .pdf files?

Doug,

Thank you for sharing the information.

As you can see that the PDF producer is not Acrobat that can case this issue.

You can flatten the document at your end. The Adobe Acrobat 'Print to PDF' feature flattens the document and reset all the settings to their defaults.

To run a document through the 'Print to PDF' feature you will want to open the PDF, select File > Print > then in the drop down list next to 'Printer:' select the 'Adobe PDF' option. Then click the Print button, you will then be prompted to browse to a location to save the newly flattened PDF.

Now use this flattened PDF file to Edit & Save.

    Yes, this is absolutely helpful. Yes, it did work. Thank you Adobe Staff for responding rapidly.

    I opened selected the paths, print options you specified and everything worked beautifully.

    I have to learn File source compatibility issues myself especially with working on other "pdf generated or simulated file types"

    I have learned the effectiveness and powerful capabilities of Adobe Acrobat DC professional program.

    Looks like I will become a full-time user of the active Adobe version.

      Are you experiencing this issue with all the PDF files or a specific PDF file?

      Will it be possible for you to share the document with us so that we can replicate the issue at our end.

      Open the PDF in Acrobat DC, navigate to File -> Properties and let me know the Application & PDF Producer mentioned over there.

      Yes, It is only this file and some others in the same format.

      Hope this helps solve my and other problems

      I can edit pdf's in my other older pdf's
