Trying to install trial version of Acrobat DC Pro using Windows 10. I have 2.3 GB free space on my hard drive and over 900 GB on my external drive yet when I try to install I am getting an error that there is not enough disk space. Want to resolve this issue before purchasing full version. Please help. I have run the disk cleanup to clean up any extra space on my internal hard drive. Please note I am not a true tech person when responding 🙂  TIA!!

2.3 GB is not enough space.

  • 1.5GHz or faster processor.
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit), 2012 (64 bit), or 2012 R2 (64 bit); Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit), Windows 8, 8.1 (32 bit and 64 bit), or Windows 10 (32 bit and 64 bit)
  • 1GB of RAM.
  • 4.5GB of available hard-disk space.
  • 1024x768 screen resolution.

Short of buying a bigger HD, uninstall unused programs and move data files to your external.  Windows alone takes a sizable amount of physical and RAM memory to do what it needs to do.

Use your Windows Disk Cleanup utility regularly to clear out your Recycle Bin, Temporary Internet & system files.

Thanks Nancy. What would be my data files?

I don't know what you do but my work (data) files consist mainly of PDFs, PSDs, AIs, MS Word docx, Excel files, images, videos, music,  text files, etc...

Consider archiving or ZIP files you don't use often to save space.

After moving files to your external, run Disk Defrag to optimize your HD.   It might give you a little extra space to work with.
