Error on PDF

Whenever I open my PDF document, usually a document from DocuSign or similar with signatures, it gives me this notification: "An error exists on the page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem".  Then, a bunch of the signatures will disapear. It's odd because I know these are standard forms being normally executed in DocuSign. Any ways to prevent this or reset?

Whenever Acrobat shows this message, chances are that there indeed is an issue in the PDF.

For example, as you mention in particular signed documents, recently here the use case was discussed that some documents were first signed by Docusign and thereafter by Authentisign, and the resulting documents showed the same error as you quote. An analysis of an example document showed that Authentisign there introduced an error while flattening the Docusign signature. See here.

Thus, can you share example PDFs illustrating the issue?

Hi @brad_3708,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with opening files in Acrobat.

Is this issue specific to opening files from DocuSign? Would you mind sharing one such sample file with us for further investigation?

Also, to test, can you try downloading a file to your desktop and then launch the application? A screenshot of what you see if you try to view the file in Viewer would be great to understand the difference.

Please ensure you are on the latest version of Acrobat (2025.001.2043x) for the best experience.

To do so, go to Help-> Check for Updates.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Souvik.
