Error opening PDF files and change the size while copying

In the office save PDF file on desktop (I have a license of Adobe Acrobat X Pro).

The file is OK, it opens without any problems.

Then from home I connect through Remote Desktop to the office computer and copy this file to the home.

When you try to open the file, you receive an error message that the file is corrupted and cannot be recovered (There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired).

At first I thought about possible incompatibility of versions (at home I have Adobe Reader 9.5.5) but after several attempts I established that the file really spoils, and spoils at copying from the PC to the PC. The fact is that during the transfer from one computer to another PDF file slightly increases in size. So my file in 344 KB turned into 352 KB. Moreover, such a miracle happens only with PDF files – others are transferred and copied normally.

Read a bunch of forums – discuss error opening file, but no one talks about this phenomenon as a change in size.

If it was already discussed – please generously give a link, because don't found. And if anyone knows the cause of this glitch, I would greatly appreciate the help.

PS: in my office I have Windows 7 Pro, at home on the laptop – Windows XP PRO SP3.

Requires Acrobat (not just the Reader).

Works on (and was tested in) Illustrator version 10 and all CS versions.

>Open the corrupt file in Acrobat.
>Take the arrow tool.
>Click on any element or text in the document.
>Just move the object by hitting one of the directional arrows on your keyboard.
>File, Save.

>Open the file in Illustrator.
>It will say 'this file has been modified outside of Illustrator' or something to that effect. it will ask if you want to keep changes.
>Say 'Yes' (or OK)

Your file will open virtually intact!

This has worked when nothing else has... believe me it is painful to have to recreate a corrupt file....
.... but there is an easier way to fix the problem : you can use the service recover Acrobat document online , it is paid, but very effective ! you can find it here :

How do you copy the file?
