Error: We can’t verify your subscription status

Hello, 

Recently everytime I work with acrobat keeps prompting , Error: We can’t verify your subscription status and my subscription is up to date so that is not the problem.

it is suggesting to update Trend Miucro to version 16 or later and I have never heard  or been informed that I should by Trend Micro.

 

Can someone explain?

Hope you are doing well.

Upon investigating the cause of this issue, "We can't verify your subscription status" or product team has come to a conclusion that,

The error occurs with older versions (15 or earlier) of Trend Micro as they restrict certain operations performed by Adobe Acrobat’s protected mode.

 

Hence, an official KB has been issued with the troubleshooting steps to fix the error.

Hello

My question also is: is Trend Micro an adobe software? I have proceeded to the link you mention https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cant-verify-your-subscription-status.html But in order to verify or get a new version I need to pay a subscription , why should I pay another software if I am paying adobe already?
