Error when performing a OCR in both Optimize PDF and Scan & OCR Tools

Hello all,

I am having a issue with my Acrobat DC installation. The message I receive when trying to recognize text is:

The procedure entry point

?SetDeskewOptions@CPageRecognition@IDRS@@QAEXABV

CDeskewOptions@2@@Z could not be located in the

dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture\OCRLibraryInf.dll.

I have tried reinstalling my Acrobat DC and have also tried copying files from:

Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture\IDRS15

and pasting them in the Paper Capture and plug_ins folders as this has worked before for other issues related to this similar problem but does not fix the error now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

This solution was very close to what fixed it. Which it is now fixed. Those same files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\<Acrobat Version>\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture\iDRS15 also needed to be placed in the folder up one more level and now it works. So once I pasted them in the PaperCapture, plug_ins, and Acrobat files it then worked. Before I was just pasting them in the PaperCapture and plug_ins folder and still receiving the error.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Craig
