Ever worsening software

Question

I was wondering if adobe uses focus groups to decide how to design their software products so as to best frustrate and piss off their customers. Over the years the adobe acrobat user interface has gotten worse with each iteration. Now it is so obtuse and difficult to use I can't think of the words to do it justice.
