Everytime i load up a pdf adobe freezes and autamtvially starts reading the doc for text recognition

Question

So basically I've looked everywhere online and I can't seem to find an answer. So basically everytime I load up a pdf my adobe windows just freezes and after about 10 mins it'll unfreeze and ask whether or not I want my pdf to be editable. I've tried everything I could find online including unchecking recognize scanned text and nothing seems to work. Sorry if something I said doesn't make sense I've never used adobe before I would really appreciate if somone could help me out. I have downloaded the newest version of adobe acrobat pro. It all started after I bought the subscription for pro so maybe it has something to do with that. All help is greatly appreciated

1. OS version

2. Acrobat version

3. Is this a file specific issue? e.g. happening with a specific scanned file or, happening with any files (scanned or, non-scanned), please share

4. Can you share a screenshot when Acrobat asks for pdf to be editable?
