My subscription is up to date  yet EVERYTIME I want to open a file it wants me to log in to Adobe and often even in doing that it keeps repeatedly wants me to re-log in...

Can anybody advise...it is really annoying me and it is unusable...I have had this subscription since 2015 and I rarely use it but has been happening for about 6 mths or so...

Hey there,

In your description I believe you are talking about Acrobat DC's subscription. Just to make sure, please check whether you are opening Acrobat DC or freeware Reader DC?

1- There's a possibility you have been trying to open your PDFs through Acrobat Reader DC rather than Acrobat DC, as they both look identical. Resulting, login information.

So, please Open App>Help>About Acrobat what's the version you see?

2- Is it Acrobat DC? If yes, then Sign In Out of the app once. Open Acrobat>Help>Sign Out and Sign back In.

Close Acrobat DC and reopen.

Still no luck?

3- Follow the resolution provided here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/adobe-sign-in-loop.html

For better understanding, Help us with the screenshot when it asks password.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Thank you for asking and solving the problem, but it does bring up another issue.

Why if we now pay, why are there two versions of the same software on our computers. Why is there not, like most software, just an upgrade to the paid version?

Just something to fix in the future.

Thanks again!

You can't upgrade from Acrobat Reader to Adobe Acrobat. This are different software products.
