exit code 36
unable to update or uninstall ACrobat DC because apparently Distiller DC is still installing. It's been several days and I can't find how to stop anything or uninstall this software.

use task manager (win) or activity monitor (mac) to stop all acrobat processes.
use the uninstaller to uninstall anything that might have installed
clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
restart your computer
retry installing.
