Question

Export to Word document from Acrobat Pro creates.... Nothing

I am running Mac OS 11.4 Big Sur and Acronbar Pro Build: 20.6.20034.366983

When I choose to export to a Microsoft WORD document, it goes through all the right menus, I click save, it seems to percolate for a moment... An dthen there's no file created. WORD, PDF, or otherwise.

I've rebooted my Mac, with no joy.  Big Sur has been a constant problem and bug laden since I installed it a couple of weks ago, and this may be yet another problem with the operating system.

Any suggestions?

Keep in mind that Big Sur is a major update of the Apple operating system (from X to 11), which requires software vendors like Adobe to update their software, too.

We usually counsel our clients to 6-12 months for the major software programs to work well with the new OS. So definitely update your version of Acrobat as @Meenakshi Negi recommended.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for reaching out.

As you have mentioned, you are using the Acrobat Pro DC 20.6.20034 which is an old version.

Please try updating the application to the latest version and check if the issue persists. In the Acrobat application, go to Help > Check for updates.

For more information on the latest updates, please refer to the following page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Rob,

I'm on Big Sur and I'm not having any issues with PDF generation from Word.

So, how are you doing this? What steps are you taking?

Oh, and what version of Word are you using?
