Exporting 'enhanced' pdf to Word document

Question

I'm trying to export scanned lab data in pdf form to word format.

Since the resolution of the original file is pretty low, there always exists some errors so I have tried 'Enhance Scans' and 'Correct Recognized Text' and it seems like they somewhat improve the OCR quality.

And the problem is although I correct some errors with those feautres above, as I export the 'enhanced' PDF file to Word document, the errors that I just have corrected still exist.

So I am wondering how can I export the enhanced version of pdf to other formats.

Is this happening even if you also use the Accessibility Checker tool to find out underlying issues and the Print Production Tool to correct the found issues using the Preflight PDF fixups?
